Two days trip by lakes and streamlets.

    Since in the midway of the trip all flotilla has to be transported 1,5 km and carried over the road one time, it is more convenient and more fun to travel by plastic or wood canoes, also it is possible to travel by boats.

    The best time to start a trip is on Friday afternoon from Paluse. You float on the Lusiai Lake – by Meirona streamlet (through the ethnographic street type fishermen village) – on Dringikshtchiai lake – by Dumblyne streamlet – on Dringiai Lake till the resort place in the Juodakumpis bay not far from Vaishniunai village. In Vaishniunai there is a shop. Dringiai is one of the biggest (3-rd on size) and one of the fishiest lakes in the National park.

    On the Saturday morning you with canoes and stuff will be transported to the Baluoshai (transporting price of canoe or boat is 10 Lt.). In Baluoshai you can visit an island with lake inside of it, to have a sight to the Shuminai village, in which “Tadas Blinda” was filmed.

    Then you float on the Baluoshykshtchiai – by Skregzhda streamlet – on Srovinaitchiai – by Srove streamlet till Ginutchiai. Here there are shop, gin-shop, don’t forget swimming under flourmill fall. After transporting canoes over the road you travel to Almajas lake, where have founded resort place you stay for night. If there is still a wish, strength and time, you can visit apiculture museum in Stripeikiai. Since it is about 5 km. way – it will be necessary about 3 – 4 hours.

     On the Sunday morning we continue the trip on the Almaja streamlet, reaching the Aseka Lake, and then floating on the Aseka streamlet we reach the lake Linkmenai. Don’t miss an opportunity to visit mound of the Linkmenai, where crusaders times was built wood castle and, Ladakalniai, from which beautiful panorama opens. By Unkste streamlet we reach Asalnykshtis and floating by the highest island in Lithuania – Gimzhishke. Before entering the Lake Asalnai visit Puzinizhkiai oak. After floating across the Asalnai we reach Lusiai.
